Youth Company Auditions August 15th@ 4:00pm
Acting Naturally Youth Company had an unbelievable experience in NYC! It began with a private master dance class with Christopher Young from a Bronx Tale followed by Tom D'Angora - Director/Producer The Marvelous Wonderettes – held a vocal audition master class for our Youth. Saturday our actors performed and did a wonderful job! Sue Delano (My Fair Lady- Bway, Cabaret - Bway, and National Tour with Liza Minnelli) and Meredith Akins (Bway - Wicked, Footloose Momma Mia) Sunday, we saw Once on This Island – A MUST SEE!!!! Followed by a private talk back with the Associate Producer Valerie Novacoff. The experiences we shared and guidance we received from these Broadway Professionals is indescribable! Thank you to everyone who took the time to see our show and teach us about our trade. We will be back January 2019! #BuckstoBroadway

Actors joining the Youth Company will perform in their own show at Acting Naturally’s Theatre. Thesame show will be taken to New York City to be performed for Broadway veterans and professionals, invited guests, agents and casting directors.
The Youth Company plans to travel to New York City January 18th – 21st 2019 (Martin Luther King Weekend). Although Acting Naturally coordinates the trip, hotels and rooming assignments, actors are responsible for any travel, food and hotel expenses.
September through January rehearsals focus on their show to be performed at both Acting Naturally’sTheatre and in New York City. February through May is a little more relaxed due to our actor’s school shows. The focus is on acting, singing, dancing, improvisation and audition techniques and the preparation for Drama festival competitions.
We continually encourage all our actors to improve on their audition techniques and just as imperati
ve selection of suitable AGE appropriate audition materials. We want you to strive for improvement not only with your acting, singing and dancing skills, but as well as with strong audition skills and doing the proper amount of preparation for each and every audition.Actors are required to prepare a Broadway style song and monologue for auditions. In addition, actors are required to bring pictures and resumes.
Please recognize that we know your abilities, past performances, strengths and weaknesses. The actors selected will be determined by students who were extremely prepared and scored equally in voc
al and acting categories. Whether the student will be accepted into the company will be based solely on their audition.
We value your experience and all that you bring to our workshops. We enjoy your enthusiasm and passion for performing and look forward to seeing you each week! Our ultimate goal is to teach actors to act naturally and to have fun putting on shows!
Acting Naturally’s Saturday and Sunday Musical Theater Workshops are for boys and girls ages 8-18 who enjoy performing but may not be able to compete or travel with the Youth Company. We encourage you to continue your training here and practice the tools you have learned through your instruction at Acting Naturally.
