Wendy Force McBride (Artistic Founding Director) graduated from New York Academy of Theatrical Arts in N.Y.C.. She studied at H.B. (Herbert Berghof) Studios with Bill Hickey and improvisation with Marty Friedberg at “The Improv” in NYC. Wendy worked with two improvisational groups. “Just for Fun” & “Group Creativity” under the direction of David Sheppard, she performed and taught improvisational “Theater games” for the "Improv Olympix," a nationally known Improv group. She studied voice under Julie DeJohn of "The DeJohn Sisters" & Joyce Lynn from The NYC Opera. As Director: Wendy’s experience includes 30 years of acting and improvisation. She's directed local theatre, school plays & musicals, Church productions and Talent Shows.
As An Actor: She performs in both musicals & plays. Her commercial credits include Ray-Ban, Covenant House and March of Dimes. Film credits, Taking Chance, an HBO film, Duplicity, Television Law & Order, Criminal Intent, and a 1/2-Hour scripted comedy series for The Onion News Network.. Virginia Barrie Director, and a familiar face on local and regional stages as well as in New York City and Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. Her recent credits include the lead in The Charitable Sisterhood, and La Vecina (The Neighbor) in The Philadelphia Artists' Collective co-production with the Mandell Theater of Blood Wedding. She has appeared in over thirty productions in Bucks County. She has had the pleasure of being a Guest Teaching Artist for Acting Naturally for a number of years, and is very pleased to be joining the company as a permanent instructor!
George Meyers a graduate of Lebanon Valley College and New York Academy of Theatrical Arts. George is an actor and film enthusiast. His T.V. credits include Sonny with a Chance, Big Time Rush, Fortune Hunter, The Adventures of Superboy. His film credits include The Adventures of Red Rooster, Swamp Thing Film, Air Force One, End of Days and Monkeybone. George had the privilege of playing the reoccurring role of Officer Criswell on General Hospital for 10 years. Other soap credits include Search for Tomorrow, The Young and The Restless, Days of Our Lives, and Passions. George now divides his time between the East and West Coast, and most recently started teaching a film & T.V. Workshop in the Philippines. He is excited to join the Acting Naturally group and share his experiences.
Brendan Stackhouse is a New York-based theater director and choreographer with a passion for simple storytelling. Brendan strives to find new, interesting, and thought provoking ways to tell stories that allow the audience to apply their viewing experience to their own lives.
Brendan has worked on Broadway as the Assistant Choreographer for the 2015 Tony award winning Best Musical Fun Home and off-Broadway as the Associate Director for the 2016 revival of The Marvelous Wonderettes and Assistant Director of the 2015 revival of Once Upon a Mattress.
In 2006, Brendan founded the Once Upon a Time Players which produces a varied season of contemporary and classic musicals in various locations across the Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey areas. Brendan also serves as the Resident Director for Hemlock Theatre Company on Staten Island and the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Backpack Theatre Company.
Brendan's work has been seen in various Regional Theatres, Schools, and Festivals throughout the tri-state area and he has received Best Director awards for his work on See What I Wanna See and The Wedding Singer.
Allison Wiatrowski -dance instructor/ choreographer is thrilled to join the Acting Naturally family. She started dancing at age 3 and did her first show at age 5. A Junior at Rider University pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre. She last performed as Judy Haynes in White Christmas at Rider and then was a dancer at The Kimmle Center for Hairspray Live. She loves children and teaching. Allie is grateful for all the opportunities Acting Naturally has given to her.
Bill McLaughlin studied and worked with Del Close in Chicago and was part of his early long form experiments in the development of the Harold. He is a co-founder of The Chicago City Limits, New York’s longest running comedy revue, and performed with New York’s First Amendment Improv Company, the first American improvisational company to perform at the Edinburgh International Theatre Festival. While Director of Improvisational Studies at The Manhattan Comedy School, Bill's student productions were performed at Caroline's On Broadway. In the Philadelphia area he teaches at Bucks County Community College and is a member of The Bucks County Playhouse Conservatory faculty. Currently he guest teaches at such venues as The Nursery, London UK, Gotham City Improv, NYC, and the Station Theater in Houston TX. Locally he has produced and directed shows at such venues as The Philadelphia Ethical Society, New Hope's John & Peters and numerous college venues. When not teaching Bill uses his improvisational and writing skills to produce entertainment in the international corporate sector as a writer, director and performer for Trade Shows, National Sales Meetings, Team Building and Product Launches.
Danielle Verguldi is a Senior at Westminster Choir College. Danielle, a soprano, studies classical voice under published author and decorated soloist, Lauren Athey-Janka in both private and master classes. She Choral Work Studies are under the direction of GRAMMY-nominated conductor, Dr. James Jordan. This summer she will participate in The Choral Institute at Oxford with Westminster Choir College’s renowned choral ensemble: Williamson Voices. In January 2018, she recorded a choral album accompanied by members of the Philadelphia Orchestra under the production management of internationally known British composer and conductor, Dr. James Whitbourn. Recent performances include collaborations with The Juilliard School of Music and Manhattan Concert Productions; these performances both took place at Lincoln Center. Stage credits include: Thoroughly Modern Millie (Millie) Anything Goes (Reno), and The True Story of Cinderella by Warren Martin (Queen). Danielle also teaches private music lessons.
Jared Jacobs started his training in dance at the age of 16 at Anna Marie's dance studio. He attended Cab Calloway school of the arts as a Drama and Vocal Major. He attended Point Park University as a Theatre Arts Major/ Dance Minor ’09. While in Pittsburgh he added dance company member to his resume working for “X”, a Horton based dance company of local artists. His theatre credits include Big Daddy Brubeck in Sweet Charity at Machaydn Theatre, Eddie Souther (u.s) Sister Act, Walnut Street Theatre, Naphtali in Joesph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat at Media Theatre, Captain Antonille in Jonah at Sight and Sound Theatre (Branson, MO). National Tour of Soul of Motown where he sang with Platinum record producer CJ Jefferson. Jarad also sang Background for Dolly Parton and the Temptations. He has worked with Michael Rupert, (Tony Award Winner) Rockettes Dance Captain Stacy Paydo, (Tony Winner) Anne Reinking, the incomparable Debbie Allen, Broadway Producer Bud Martin, and Elaine Strich. Michelle Figueiredo (Choreographer) graduated magna cum laude from Rider University's with a BS in Behavioral Neuroscience, BA in Dance Performance, and with a certificate of leadership. She was a member and choreographer of the Rider Dance Ensemble. She served as the V.P for the Rider Dance Team. Michelle is a Mildred S. Hawkins Fine Arts Endowed Scholarship recipient and a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. Currently, Michelle is a captain for the Sixers Dancers. Michelle represented the Sixers and performed in Lanzhou, China. In February 2014, Michelle was selected by the NBA to dance as a member of the All Star Dance Team for the All Star Game in New Orleans and while she was there, she had the opportunity to dance with Pharrell Williams and Vanilla Ice
Eliyana Abraham, Director and Production Assistant, is now in her 5th year of working and performing with Acting Naturally. Eliyana is a member of Princeton University’s Class of 2023, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a Certificate in Music Theater. She began studying classical voice at the age of 11, and has been performing in community and school productions since she was a child. Some of her Acting Naturally stage credits include The Addams Family (Wednesday Addams/Ensemble), Into the Woods (Witch), and 13 the Musical (Charlotte). Eliyana has also performed with various choirs and ensembles throughout the tri-state area, working with many honored musicians. In 2016, Eliyana performed in Atlanta, GA, with Acting Naturally's award-winning Youth Company at the iTheatrics Junior Theater Festival. Eliyana is as passionate about theater as she is enthusiastic — she loves to work with children and help them find themselves through the arts!
Jeanie Davey, Director a Graduate of Temple University, She is currently a game night public relations intern at The Philadelphia Flyers, and has interned with Slice Communications and Breslow Partners in the past. Jeanie loves marketing and social media which mold perfectly into her positions of Business & Marketing Manager at The Temple News as well as Social Media Coordinator for Temple's School of Media and Communication. On the side, Jeanie loves to sing (most popular with her videos on YouTube), work out (she works at Temple's Campus Recreation), take runs in the city, drink coffee, and help out Acting Naturally!
